The Only Hovercraft Experience in Northern Ireland
Experience the thrill of gliding over land and water on a cushion of air, piloting a Hovercraft on your own at Northern Ireland's only hovercrafting activity centre!
Hovercraft Flying is a thrilling, adrenaline rushing activity that is completely unique in Northern Ireland and one that should definitely feature on your bucket list.
You can pilot a Hovercraft over land and water on a cushion of air at up to 40mph, on our purpose built grass tracks with water hazards and tricky hairpins and bends. Our specially designed Eagle 447 craft are easy to operate with minimal tuition, but require nerve and new “driving skills” to maximise the exhilaration of skimming in and out of water hazards at high speed.
Oh and did we mention...no brakes!
Your Hovercraft Experience
Hovercraft Practice Arena
Your Hovercraft flying session begins in our Practice Arena. One of our experienced Hovercraft Instructors will explain and demonstrate how to fly and manoeuvre the hovercrafts so you can get the best performance from them in the safest way possible. Then it's your turn! You will pilot the Hovercraft on your own, in the Practice Arena, to get the feel for it.
You get to put your new piloting skills to the test by completing laps of our purpose-built Hovercraft tracks. You will do timed laps, which will enable you to compete against yourself and others in your group too...and hopefully beat our 'Hover Stig'!
(Progress to the tracks is at the instructor's discretion depending on the skill level of the pilot)
This hovercraft experience is suitable for those age 12 and over and physically capable of handling the hovercraft. Those aged 8-11 will pilot a smaller Hovercraft and at the discretion of the instructor will progress to the first race track after completing their practice laps.
