Listen to all safety instructions given to you by an instructor. (A full list is available in reception.) Remember these are for your benefit as well as theirs.

Aggressive and abusive behaviour (verbal or physical) towards members of staff or other visitors to Foylehov Activity Centre will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate end to the activities, forfeiting deposit and activity payment.

Damage to Equipment

Reckless behaviour with regards to equipment usage will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the Activity Centre. Misuse of equipment is deemed as reckless. Do not handle any equipment until told to do so by the instructors.

Damage to the equipment, caused by user complacency, will result in the loss of any deposit. Individuals will be liable for the cost of all breakages deemed to be caused by abuse of the equipment.

We enforce a zero alcohol & drugs policy for all groups taking part in any of our activities. If we feel that any member of a party is under the influence of alcohol or drugs it will result in participation being denied and the deposit being forfeited.

Foylehov Activity Centre is on a working farm and as such it is necessary that all visitors obey any directional signs on the courses / farm or marked barrier fencing at all times, not only for their own safety but also for the safety and well-being of the animals on the farm. Please ask an instructor if unsure.

Participants must stay within the boundary of the activity sites at all times. These will be shown to you by the instructors. This includes movement between activities and around the whole farm / Activity Centre.

Spectators must always stay behind the barrier fencing and should not cross any part of the track unless told to do so by an instructor. Participants must be aware that there may be uneven ground or rough edges on the obstacles and care must be taken at all times.

All pilots must wear protective overalls, helmets and goggles when operating machinery. Ensure all loose clothing and hair is fastened / tied before commencing Hovercrafts / Powerturn Buggy Sessions.

We would advise you to wear adequate and appropriate clothing and footwear, suitable for participating in outdoor activities and appropriate for the time of year and current weather conditions. A change of clothing is also advisable. We will not be held liable for any damaged or soiled personal clothing and we will not be held liable for any cleaning costs associated with any of the activities you participate in at Foylehov Activity Centre.

For all adult mechanical activities, progression from Practice Arena to the track(s) aspect is at the instructor’s discretion. Our insurance agreement states that all Hovercraft pilots / Powerturn Buggy drivers must be a least 14 years old to qualify for the full activity package.

If a Hovercraft pilot is 12 - 13 years old they are permitted to fly the Hovercraft themselves in the Practice Arena with possible progression to the Practice Track only, at the instructor's discretion. Similarly for the Powerturn Buggy session.

Customers aged 10 - 11 years old can fly our Junior Hovercraft in the designated Junior Arena and drive the Powerturn Buggies in the Practice Arena only.

Under 10’s are not permitted to drive any adult mechanical device themselves but can receive a piloted ride around the track from one of the instructors. False declaration could result in your child not being covered by our insurance.

Being an outdoor activity centre located in Northern Ireland we are equipped to deal with most weather conditions. As such the majority of our activities go ahead regardless of weather conditions, but we do recommend that visitors dress appropriately for the conditions. On the very rare occasion, we may have to reschedule / cancel some activities at short notice due to extremely adverse weather conditions. If this is the case, we endeavour to notify customers as soon as possible and will give you the option to reschedule your booking for another suitable time / day. If this does not suit we will refund your deposit fully.

Hovercraft pilots must be also aware of wind conditions and the associated dangers which will be explained by the instructor if necessary. The wind will affect the way in which the hovercraft handles.

Customers must make staff aware of underlying health issues such as back / knee complaints, poor eyesight of hearing difficulties before signing the registration form. Some of our activities may not be suitable for pregnant women.
